Bright Side Learning

Bright Side Learning is a fun, engaging, hands on School Readiness program that will broaden your child's Literacy, Numeracy, Fine Motor and Social/Emotional Skills and help them transition from kinder to school with extra confidence and knowledge.

Our motto is 'Thrive Not Survive'.

There’s a lot that can be done to get children ‘ready’ for school and research shows that how we prepare them can have a huge impact on their long term learning abilities.

“In the first five years of life, your child’s brain develops more and faster than at any other time in their life.” “This is when the foundations for learning, health and behaviour throughout life are laid down.” (Raising Children Network).

Children are amazing beings. Some will ‘hit the ground running’ at school and some will take more time to adjust and settle. Either way, Bright Side Learning makes the most of the year before school. We incorporate the Little Learners Love Literacy program and provide fun and engaging learning experiences that build upon your child’s current skills and kinder program. Katrina McCredden, an experienced early childhood/primary teacher, plans activities galore to provide your child with specific support to develop a strong foundation for Literacy (reading, writing, spelling, speech) and Numeracy (number sense, counting, number recognition) knowledge, Fine Motor Skills, Social/Emotional Skills as well as independence, concentration and organisational skills to help them not just survive but thrive at school. All this fosters a love of learning that will help carry your child through their school years. What they’ll learn will amaze you!

Sessions run on Monday mornings in the beautiful surrounds of the Barwon Heads Community Arts Garden and are available to children who will be attending primary school in the following year.
